Good point maybe I'll hit him up for some knowledge.

Hahaha I sounded the same way. The nail polish is two fold. Stopping the spurting and leeching oil, while also monitering the crack itself. The ones I've seen with vertical cracks like mine (and my shop said the same thing) is they tend to crack from the stanchions to the lower crowns. These failures like any are bad, but not catastrophic (sp?).

Still have te same issues I was looking at. The fork will be out of production for 4 years. I'll be having some of the same issues I'm having now with parts. Would rather just invest in some new tech. Since I moved out of the house cash isn't as free flowing before, so $500 even $300 is pretty big to make up. Just going to hope it holds out for three more months.

Talked to the guys, they still have the cheap Boxxer and offered some other ideas. Aparently I can still get the casings, but it's a bunch of money. All the other ideas, though good make it difficult for my long term "new fork". So replenished the oil and put clear nail polish over the crack. Not a long term solution, but we'll see how it goes. It means I can see if the crack is getting bigger and if any more fluid is escaping.

Not sure stopping by the LBS tomorrow to see what I can get cheap and hopefully sell for what I paid. Think they have an 05' Boxxer for pretty cheap that was owned by a shop mech.

That sucks, heel up quick. Wish the BOS, but it's like $3500 screw that. Marz has gone down hill in the last while and I really haven't heard good things about this year's or seen any innovation like the 08' Boxxer. Never liked the 40 (have no issue with Fox) just hated the 40. Call me whatever you want but I still wouldn't get it. So that leaves the Dorado and the Boxxer. Leaning towards the Dorado cuz I like the invertedness. We'll see.
